Looking back, it's fascinating how everything connected. I actually started out as a numbers guy - a Business Analyst with a Statistics degree. I spent my days diving into data, finding patterns, and telling stories with numbers. But something was missing. I could see all these insights, but I wanted to do more than just analyze - I wanted to make things happen.
That's when I stumbled into the world of digital marketing, and wow, did I fall hard for it! I became that person who couldn't stop learning - devouring everything from Philip Kotler's classics to every online course I could find, and seeking mentorship.
All that hustle paid off when I landed my first real marketing role, running Google and Facebook ads for an educational institution. Finally, I could put all that learning into practice!
The Agency Years & Beyond
Then came the game-changer - joining one of the leading e-commerce agencies. Let me tell you, nothing prepares you for agency life until you're in it! Managing multiple accounts with real money on the line? That's when you really learn what works and what doesn't. I got to dive deep into market research, customer psychology, and what really makes people click 'buy now.'
My journey didn't stop there. I went on to work with several top agencies, giving me a front-row seat to different industries, budgets, and strategies. Over time, I've managed more than $19M in ad spend across Facebook, Google Ads, and TikTok.
The most interesting part? When Meta started going all-in on AI recently, I saw many advertisers struggling with the change. But this is where my background in statistics came in clutch - I could spot patterns that others missed. While everyone was fighting against the AI, I learned to work with it, and that made all the difference.
